Regius School is conveniently situated on the south-eastern outskirts of Edinburgh. There is easy access to the A1 and the City Bypass, which connect to the M8 and M9 Motorway networks. A Park-and-Ride service is located close to the school, from which a half-hourly train service operates into the city. A regular bus service runs from outside the school. The ‘Innocent’ cycle path runs from Regius to the heart of Edinburgh.

Regius is an independent Christian primary school, providing a happy, caring and creative environment for all children, aged five to twelve years. We aim to be a centre of educational excellence where each child’s unique ability is recognised and developed, focusing on their individual learning skills and aspirations.

We also provide sessions for pre-school children for two hours a day, and provide a distance learning programme on site for High School students.

In addition we run an international distance learning programme for those who for various reasons cannot attend Regius school. This is available for individuals, family groups, community groups and self start schools, mainly in Scotland but throughout the UK and to various nations throughout the world.

We invite home-schoolers to participate in our Open Access programme which provides for those who are taught at home but would benefit for accessing various aspects of the curriculum. At present we provide for P.E., dance and movement, music, French, and topic which includes social studies, health and science.
